Part of Dart’s Real Estate Division, Decco is a leader in real estate development and construction management in the Caribbean. Decco is uniquely positioned to deliver projects that enhance communities, define destinations and drive sustainable economic growth. From roads to resorts, Decco’s projects have redefined the architectural landscape of the Cayman Islands since 2008.

Commitment to safety

Guided by the Dart family values, Decco emphasises honesty and integrity, dedication and industriousness, and respect for the individual throughout all its projects. Decco sets the benchmark for safety, functionality and quality, as well as schedule and budget adherence.

As the construction management team responsible for the first LEED© Gold-certified mixed-use building in the Caribbean, sustainability is built into every stage of development from design to project delivery. Decco’s development portfolio currently includes four LEED©-certified buildings. Decco's projects are characterised by responsible use of resources, landscaping that emphasises native species, and a focus on renewable energy.

Camana Bay

One of Dart’s most prominent contributions to the Cayman Islands’ physical environment is the master planned, mixed-use community of Camana Bay which encompasses more than 600 acres along Grand Cayman’s West Bay corridor. Encompassing Class A office space, parking structures, a chiller plant, cinema, and mixed used buildings with luxury apartments above ground level retail and restaurant spaces, Camana Bay is one of the foremost examples of New Urban design in the Caribbean. In 2019, almost 12 years after the Camana Bay town centre opened to the public, a new chapter in the town’s history began with the construction of OLEA, Camana Bay’s first for-sale residential community.

Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa

Marking Dart’s first hotel development project in the Cayman Islands, the Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa opened in 2016 as one of less than 200 resort-residential properties worldwide to achieve LEED© Silver status. The Kimpton Seafire features LED lighting inside and out, a 143 kw solar array and the most efficient ground-source geothermal cooling system in the country. Less than a year after opening, the Kimpton Seafire became one of only nine resorts in the Caribbean to receive a Five Diamond Rating from the American Automobile Association (AAA).

Cayman International School

Opened in 2006, Cayman International School (CIS) is a world-class educational facility sitting on 13 acres at Camana Bay. In 2018, Decco broke ground on a US$60 million expansion of CIS, including a state-of-the art early childhood campus as well as a separate, purpose-built 87,000-square-foot high school. In keeping with Decco's commitment to sustainability, CIS is the single largest solar programme in the Cayman Islands and one of only a few solar-powered schools in the Caribbean.

Through partnerships with public entities and Dart’s own long-term development initiatives, Decco has contributed to Cayman’s world-class infrastructure with the construction of roads, traffic circles, underpasses, bridges, subways, canals and harbours. A Decco-led consortium is the preferred bidder for the implementation of a new integrated solid waste management system for the country, a multi-million dollar, multi-year public-private partnership with the Cayman Islands Government.

From custom fit-outs to major infrastructure projects, Decco is resourced to expertly deliver integrated real estate solutions to its sister companies and provide construction management services to local and international partners. From investment analysis, strategic business development, planning and design, civil engineering, construction management and procurement, Decco is uniquely positioned to deliver projects that enhance communities, define destinations and catalyse economic opportunities.
