Media statement: Britannia restrictive agreements

In 2016, Dart acquired the former Hyatt properties which include the site of the Beach Suites and the Britannia golf course.  When the acquired properties were first developed, some restrictive agreements that provided golf, tennis and beach access to the residents of Britannia were registered against the title to the properties.

There has been a disagreement between Dart and the Britannia residents as to the correct legal status of the restrictive agreements.  Over the course of the last two years, there have been meetings and communication between Dart and Britannia representatives to discuss options for resolution of the issue, but the parties failed to reach an agreement.

Partnering with NCB Group Cayman to develop OLEA, Camana Bay's first for-sale residential development, came at an opportune time as demand for property fuels a construction boom across Grand Cayman.


Camana Bay Times: Diversifying Grand Cayman's beach experience

Tourism in the Cayman Islands is set to break records in 2018, with November stay-over numbers up 11.2 per cent year-to-date and cruise visitors expected pass the 1.9-million mark, not seen since 2006. With further growth projected for the destination in 2019, Grand Cayman faces a challenge in finding a way to balance the increase in volume of visitors without impacting the quality of their experience.


Camana Bay beach to feature pop-up bar and restaurant

Dart has submitted a planning application for a pop-up bar and restaurant slated to open in spring 2019 at the Camana Bay beach, formerly the Coral Caymanian.

Dart announced as presenting sponsor for 2019 Cayman Billfish Rundown

Cayman Billfish Rundown, a new multi-day fishing tournament, has been launched for 2019. Dart and The Residences at Seafire were recently announced as presenting sponsors alongside Hurleys’ Media.

With potential prize winnings of US$520,000 and a guarantee of US$270,000, the inaugural tournament will have one of the largest guaranteed prizes of the region’s competitive fishing circuit. The tournament, which will take place from 14-17 May, 2019, will be headquartered at Camana Bay Harbour.
