Dart leases Barefoot Beach

Dart has agreed to lease its property at Barefoot Beach in East End to a third-party tenant who has partnered with NCB Group for the planned development of a boutique eco-resort.

The third-party tenant approached Dart to lease the site for the construction of 89 low-rise, environmentally friendly cottages and onsite hotel amenities. The planning application was submitted on 14 March.

Dart in final stages to acquire Le Soleil d’Or resort

At the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce Legislative Luncheon held today, Dart announced it is in the final stages of its proposed acquisition of Le Soleil d’Or, a boutique resort in Cayman Brac which gained international acclaim for its farm-to-table philosophy.

Media statement: Britannia restrictive agreements

In 2016, Dart acquired the former Hyatt properties which include the site of the Beach Suites and the Britannia golf course.  When the acquired properties were first developed, some restrictive agreements that provided golf, tennis and beach access to the residents of Britannia were registered against the title to the properties.

There has been a disagreement between Dart and the Britannia residents as to the correct legal status of the restrictive agreements.  Over the course of the last two years, there have been meetings and communication between Dart and Britannia representatives to discuss options for resolution of the issue, but the parties failed to reach an agreement.

Dart donates more than 2,000 acres of land in New Zealand as mountain bike park

RHL, a company owned by international investor Ken Dart, has announced plans to donate 2,127 acres of land in the Tasman, Nelson region of South Island to the Crown.  With the Department of Conservation taking custodianship, the mountain bike park developed on the property will be made accessible to the public through an agreement with the Nelson Mountain Bike Club to maintain and operate the existing network of trails.
