MSc. in Real Estate

Julian is the first Dart Scholar to become a CFA Charterholder. Having completed a master’s in real estate and a graduate diploma in law, he now works with Dart’s investment management team. During summer internships, he gained experience in a cross-section of departments at Dart including human resources, legal and audit, and shadowed Dart’s President of Business Development. Having originally dreamed of becoming a professional footballer, he is happy in his current career which offers a different type of challenge.

It’s surprising how soon after graduating people (rightfully) stop asking what your grades were, where you went to school, and focus on who you are, and how you handle yourself, personally and professionally.

Julian's highlights

  • CFA Charterholder
  • Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
  • MSc Real Estate, Bayes Business School, City University of London
  • Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL), BPP University, London

One of Julian’s highlights as a Dart Scholar was his trip to the One Young World conference in in Bangkok, Thailand in 2015. Getting to meet people from around the world and exploring a new city encapsulates his definition of a well-rounded education. His advice to future scholars is that education is more than just grades, it’s about character development, learning how to solve problems and understanding the principles to navigating through life.

“I admire Ruth Bader Ginsberg. Anyone who can live their life with such character, intensity of curiosity, being confident in who they are and what they believe…being willing to build consensus among different views and using their extraordinary intellect for the common good is worthy of admiration.”

Julian is open-minded about what the future holds. As long as his work is interesting and he likes the people around him, he’s happy to see where the story goes.
