The [scholarship] will help me by providing financial support as well as opportunities to enhance my skillset through work experience. It will add to my extrinsic motivation to do well in my academics and student life.
J-Mar's highlights
Describing himself as motivated and hard-working, J-Mar aims to study mathematical engineering in the future, eventually pursuing a PhD in mathematics.
“Being chosen to do CXC mathematics earlier than usual helped me to realise that [maths] is something I wanted my future career to use,” said J-Mar. It also made me realise that my hard work would open up opportunities for me in the future - the harder I work, the more people will recognise my talents.”
